Art & Gastronomy
In celebration of Janu Tokyo’s first anniversary, contemporary artist Tomokazu Matsuyama will partner with the hotel for a special collaboration blending gastronomy and art—from limited edition prints available in the Boutique, to the creation of an art-themed afternoon tea in the Lounge.
Those staying at Janu Tokyo will receive a complimentary ticket to view Tomokazu Matsuyama’s FIRST LAST exhibition at Azabudai Hills Gallery.
Available from 15 March – 11 May 2025.
Transforming Janu Tokyo’s social spaces into a gallery, a selection of Matsuyama pieces will be on display, with a book by the artist placed in every suite. In addition, guests will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase one of 30 limited-edition prints of his new work, Nice Quiet Hot Tears.
Inspired by Matsuyama’s FIRST LAST series, a unique afternoon tea will be served in the Lounge & Garden Terrace. Combining sweet and savoury treats, each bite will be embellished with intricate, symbolistic imagery drawn from his works. Highlights include a New York Cheesecake, Signature Macaron and Sakura Berry Mousse.
Available in Janu Lounge & Garden Terrace daily from 12-5pm.
Running alongside Matsuyama’s FIRST LAST exhibition at the nearby Azabudai Hills Gallery, visitors to Janu Tokyo will enjoy a complimentary welcome drink on presentation of their ticket when dining at any of Janu Tokyo’s six restaurants.
